What is GoldenEye Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment?
GoldenEye Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment can be used to treat bacterial conjunctivitis thanks to the active ingredient chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Chloramphenicol works by preventing bacteria from producing proteins that are essential to them. Without these proteins, the bacteria cannot grow, replicate and increase in numbers.
Usage / Instructions
Golden Eye Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment Directions:
For adults and children aged 2 years and over:
A 5 day course of treatment:
If you are using just the eye ointment, apply about 1cm of ointment to the affected eye(s) 3 to 4 times a day.
If you are using Chloramphenicol eye drops during the day and the eye ointment at night - apply the ointment at night, before going to bed.
Warnings
Golden Eye Chloramphenicol Eye Ointment Warnings:
For ocular use.
For external use only.
Talk to your doctor straight away if your eyes get worse at any time or there is no improvement within 2 days.
Discard after a 5 day course of treatment.
Do not use if allergic to Chloramphenicol or the other ingredients.
Do not store above 25c.
Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Sterile until opened.
